Wasco County, OregonClimate change has been a priority during my four terms as mayor, especially after the 2016 UPRR Bakken Crude Oil derailed and caught fire inside our city limits. We have been active in Climate Mayors and have joined Cities race to Zero to do our part and be a template for other small communities. We are now seeking final funding for a triple net zero fire station, city hall and community center, as well as beginning design on transforming our WWTP to tertiary treatment. As a former global expedition leader and filmmaker, I help bring global perspective to our small community.
