Portland Metro Region, OregonChristine was elected to office in 2018 to represent the communities of District 2 on Metro Council, Portland, Oregon's unique regional government. Her responsibilities include leadership in land use and transportation planning, solid waste and recycling, regional parks and open spaces, affordable housing, homeless services, and regional venues- the Oregon Zoo, Portland'5, Expo, and Oregon Convention Center. Her career prior to elected office included numerous government, political, and advocacy positions with emphasis on housing, labor, and environmental issues.
