Farrah Chaichi represents House District 35, which is Beaverton and Aloha. She grew up in Beaverton and always wanted to fight for what's right in the face of oppressive systems, from opposing the death penalty to wanting to be a public defender, (ultimately deciding that student loan debt was more than she could handle) to traveling to Selma for the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday. Justice and human rights have always been a driving force for Farrah. In 2013 she applied for and was appointed to the city of Beaverton's Human Rights Advisory Commission and became increasingly involved in local politics, until one day she found herself running for and winning election to the Oregon House of Representatives, where she will continue to fight for human rights.
