Prior to serving on council, Melissa was a Climate Justice Steward with the Alliance for Jobs and Clean Energy and served on the board of Zero Waste Washington. She chairs the Planning & Public Works Committee of the Whole, represents Redmond at the Eastside Transportation Partnership, and serves on the Board of Supervisors for two Community Facilities Districts.
