Wendy Thomas State Representative

Wendy Thomas

State Representative
Hillsborough, New Hampshire

Wendy Thomas has been in the fight to protect her town’s water, air, and land from industrial pollution since 2016. In 2018 she was elected State Rep by the town of Merrimack, NH. As a “Water Warrior” she advocates for environmental justice and health protections from environmental toxins. Wendy also works as the Executive director of The New Hampshire Challenge which advocates for the disabled community in New Hampshire and she works in Energy Efficiency in New Hampshire counseling businesses on energy saving techniques and resources.

In particular, Wendy focuses on PFAS contamination in her town. She owns a private well that is so contaminated with PFAS chemicals it can’t be used. Her recent diagnosis of breast cancer and her PFAS blood results indicate she has a toxic level of PFAS chemicals in her body.

Wendy is currently in her second term as State Rep for Merrimack and sits on the Science, Technology and Energy committee. She has lived in Merrimack for 32 years and has 6 children with her husband Marc Nozell.
