Law students and recent graduates have an opportunity to win a cash prize and have their academic work published as part of the second annual Student Prize for Emerging Theories of Climate Accountability, hosted by The Center for Climate Integrity and Law Students for Climate Accountability. The competition will award a current law student or recent law school graduate for their original academic paper describing new or unexplored theories for holding corporate actors accountable for the role they have played — and continue to play — in causing and contributing to the climate crisis.

The winning paper, as decided by a panel of legal experts, will be awarded a $2,000 cash prize and qualify for publication in a to be announced law journal. Up to three honorable mentions will also be awarded. The deadline for submissions is April 19, 2024.
