Andrew Werthmann grew up on a 600-acre dairy farm and CSA in west-central Wisconsin. Elected at age 25, he has served 13 years on the Eau Claire City Council, championing issues of affordable housing, living wages, labor rights, climate and clean energy. He works for various national non-profits consulting on federal policy including health care, public lands, national parks, flood resilience, clean energy policy, and addressing the climate crisis. He was elected in 2016 to the Democratic National Committee, one of four elected members from Wisconsin. He and his wife Kerri own a home in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with their dog Abbie!
