Brigid Shea is a 2-term Travis County Commissioner and former Austin, TX, City Council Member, where she is a recognized environmental and public policy leader committed to solving Climate Change and preparing people to be more resilient. Her work to create a novel wildfire preparedness program at the County won a National Association of Counties and Texas Association of Counties award. She's a former award-winning journalist at NPR stations in MN and Philadelphia. She's a member of the Texas Campaign for the Environment board, the national Clean Water Action Board and is North American Chair of ICLEI, Local Governments for Sustainability, the oldest NGO of global local governments addressing Climate Change.
