Chris Trubac was first elected to serve as an Ingham County Commissioner in November of 2018. Since his election, he has served as chairperson of the board’s Human Services Committee and vice chairperson of the Law and Courts Committee. He has been a leading voice for conservation and sustainability efforts at the county level, advocating for clear benchmarks in reducing carbon emissions and the activation of an Environmental Affairs Commission. He has also worked closely with Potter Park Zoo to promote public awareness and education surrounding issues in conservation. Chris graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2014 and received a Bachelor of Science in the conservation of natural resources. He has worked with multiple state legislators as a legislative aide.
