I grew up in Olympia and moved to Pierce County in 1992 to attend Pacific Lutheran University. I have been teaching in public schools for over 20 years in the county. As I grew as an educator, I found my passion for science and technology. During my 20+ years working with youth in our region in four different schools I looked for ways to help students and adults in the school community. In the last ten years, this work has been through the lens of our amazing union, and I have served several roles including building representative, treasurer and bargaining team member. I proudly represent the communities of DuPont, Steilacoom, Lakewood, JBLM, Parkland, Tacoma, Anderson Island and in the end ALL of Pierce County.
