Jenny Brekhus is in her third term as the Ward 1 City Council Member (elected in 2012, 2016 and 2020). She has been focused on how cities work for nearly her entire life. When she was growing up in northern California, her father was the mayor/council member of her hometown. This experience encouraged her to pursue a graduate degree in city planning and to work for three cities prior to pursuing elected office. She has been married to husband Armando for 21 years and their daughter Eliana is a college student.
