Juan Carlos González (he/him/his) serves on the Metro Council representing District 4, which includes parts of north and west Washington County, Oregon. Born in Forest Grove, raised in Cornelius and now living in Beaverton, Juan Carlos is a first generation Mexican-American passionate about equitable community development, environmental justice and grassroots initiatives.
Juan Carlos graduated as a valedictorian at Forest Grove High School and earned a degree in economics and government from Georgetown University. After college, Juan Carlos returned to Oregon to join Centro Cultural de Washington County, a nonprofit that works with communities to remove barriers to health, well-being, and economic mobility in order to achieve prosperity and self-determination. He currently serves as Centro’s Director of Development and Communications.
