Lisa Cutter was born and raised in Colorado and is in her first term as a state senator after serving as a state representative for four years. She has lived most of her life in Jefferson County, much of which she now represents. Prior to being elected, she was an award-winning public relations and media consultant for more than 25 years.
She started her own business so she could have the flexibility to be a hands-on mother, succeed professionally and step up for her community. Her perspective as a mother and business owner shaped her determination to ensure that every system that supports and touches the lives of busy families — from public education to healthcare to mental health — is well-resourced, compassionately designed and human-centered.
