Lisa Parshley currently serves on Olympia City Council. She also serves on Finance Committee, Thurston County Climate Mitigation Steering Committee, Olympia Sea level Rise Phase III committee, Joint Animal Services Commission, LOTT Board of Directors, Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (Alternate), and as PBIA Liaison Board. She is the President of the LOTT board and chair of the Joint Animal Services Commission. Her term is 2018-2021 and she expects to run for a second term of office in 2021.
Dr Parshley earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Oregon Healthy Sciences University, finished post-doctoral at University of Washington, worked as a research scientist for the Immunex Corporation for two years. In 2003 she received a DVM from Colorado State University, completed a small animal internship at Cornell University, a medical oncology residency at Michigan State University, and is a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (oncology). She currently co-owns Olympia Veterinary Specialists and works at the Olympia Veterinary Specialty Cancer Center.
