Marko Liias

Marko has represented the 21st Legislative District since 2008. Marko has worked to make communities stronger through good transportation policy choices and great schools, keeping classrooms safe from bullying, and a strong economy with good-paying jobs including bolstering our clean-energy economy. He is an adjunct professor teaching courses in American Government and Scandinavian crime fiction. Prior to his service in the Legislature, Marko was a member of the Mukilteo City Council. Marko is a graduate of Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Georgetown University in Washington D.C., and received his MPA from the University of Washington.
