Rachel Ventura was born and raised in Joliet. She graduated from Benedictine University with a B.S. in Mathematics and later with an A.S. in Biology from Tidewater Community College. She is a former actuary, naturalist, pet nurse, substitute teacher and business director. She served from 2018-2022 on the Will County Board and was the Vice President of the Forest Preserve District of Will County. Currently, she is the Chaplain for the American Legion Auxiliary and a full-time legislator. She is a proud mother to twin daughters.
