Samuel I. “Sandy” Rosenberg has been a member of the Maryland House for Delegates since 1983, representing the 41st District in Baltimore. He currently serves as the chair of the Subcommittee on Health Occupations and Long-Term Care and as the House chair of the Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive, and Legislative Review.
Delegate Rosenberg is a staunch supporter of environment causes and has introduced legislation designed to make Maryland a leader in addressing issues of environmental justice and the impact of climate change. In recognition of his leadership on behalf of the environment, he was named a Green Champion by the Maryland League of Conservation Voters.
Delegate Rosenberg is a graduate of the Baltimore City public schools, Amherst College, and the Columbia University Law School. He co-teaches courses on legislation at the University of Baltimore and the University of Maryland Law Schools.
