Providing resources, strategic guidance, and campaign support for communities organizing to hold fossil fuel polluters accountable.
For decades, major oil and gas companies knew their products could cause “catastrophic” climate damage but chose to protect their profits through ongoing campaigns of denial, deception, and disinformation.
Today, as communities pay the price for Big Oil’s climate lies—facing escalating costs from heatwaves, superstorms, wildfires, floods, and more —the financial burden often lands on taxpayers and disproportionately affects vulnerable residents.
The year the president of the American Petroleum Institute, the major oil and gas trade group, told members that burning fossil fuels “could cause marked changes in climate” and “there is still time to save the world’s peoples from the catastrophic consequences of pollution, but time is running out.”
